چکیده

Purpose: Evaluating effects of Nd:YAG-laser, Er:YAG-laser, chlorhexidine and ozonated water application which is used for purpose antibacterial effects, on repair bond strength silorane based composite. Materials Methods: 100 cavities (2 mm deep, 3 diameter) prepared in acrylic blocks were filled with composite subjected thermal cycle divided into 5 groups (N=20). Group 1:Chlorhexidine; 2:Ozonated-water; 3:Nd:YAG-laser; 4:Er:YAG-laser; (control): untreated. Composite procedure was implemented the same Groups 2 subgroups (n=10). One each group second cycle. All samples tested by a universal test device. Data analyzed statistically significance difference between two means (Kolmogorov-Simirnov), variance analysis, Student-t Test used. Results: No statistical observed among after first (p>0,05). After repair, there no significant that to When evaluated themselves comparing before operation; as Ozonated-water, Nd:YAG, Er:YAG Control (p>0,05), decrease only Chlorhexidine (p<0.05). Conclusion: Nd:YAG-laser Er:YAG-laser applications can be silorane-based restorations an alternative application, since reduces bonding strength.

Effects of different cavity disinfectants on shear bond strength of a silorane-based resin composite.

AIM This in vitro study evaluated the effect of different cavity disinfection agents on bond strength of a silorane-based resin composite. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-six caries-free human third mandibular molars sectioned in mesio-distal direction were mounted in acrylic resin with their flat dentin surfaces exposed. After the dentin surfaces were wet ground with # 600 silicon carbide paper...

Evaluation of bond strength of silorane and methacrylate based restorative systems to dentin using different cavity models

OBJECTIVE The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the microtensile bond strength (µTBS) to dentin of two different restorative systems: silorane-based (P90), and methacrylate-based (P60), using two cavity models. MATERIAL AND METHODS Occlusal enamel of 40 human third molars was removed to expose flat dentin surface. Class I cavities with 4 mm mesial-distal width, 3 mm buccal-lingual wi...
